Hello there.
I know that most of the mail coming to this site concerns The Faerie Path series - but from what you’re telling me, plenty of you have also read and enjoyed the first Warrior Princess book.
Well, as you probably know, the second book in this series is due out 1st October 2009 - only a couple of months away. To give you a taster of what is to come, I’ve just posted up the second chapter of the new book Destiny’s Path on this site.
It shows our hero Branwen losing faith in her Destiny and deciding she wants to go home…or at least, to go back to her mother whom she left in the burning ruins of her home at the end of book one.
But she finds out that the gods who told her of her destiny - the mysterious Shining Ones - are not so easily put off. Branwen is destiny girl whether she likes it or not.
For me, one of the most exciting elements of the whole series comes to the fore at the start of chapter three - when the Shining Ones send Branwen a supernatural companion to help her on the path to her destiny. For Branwen, the big problem with this new ally is trying to figure out whose side she’s on. Is Blodwedd there to help Branwen, or is her loyalty really to the great antlered man-god Govannon of the Wood? Either way, Blodwedd is a strange and dangerous person to travel with…if she’s even a real person at all.
I hope you enjoy these sneak peek chapters, and that it inspires you to check out Warrior Princess book two: Destiny’s Path.
